CUAWRFC welcomes back Gabe Ortiz as the team's Coach for the Fall 2008 season.  Additionally, we would like to thank our depating coach, Cristina "DQ" DeGuzman, for her time and dedication to the CUAWRFC.

Welcome to the home of the Catholic University of America Women's Rugby Football Club (CUAWRFC), a member of the Potomac Rugby Union (PRU) Div II women's pool.  Located in Washington, DC, we play in one of the most competitive unions in the country and strive to foster the spirit of rugby both ON and OFF the pitch!

The team regularly rosters between 25 and 30 players, all whom come from various backgrounds and athletic levels. Playing in both the fall and spring, the team travels throughout the Washington, DC metro area and beyond.  We are always looking for new players...no experience needed.

As part of the Div. II pool,
CUAWRFC competes against: Georgetown,
George Washington, Towson University, UMBC, Mount St. Mary’s, Salisbury University, St. Mary’s, Washington College, and University of Maryland (Div 1), American University (Div 1).   Additionally, the team competes in the Cherry Blossom Tournament, Philadelphia Cup and has become a regular appearance at the Furies Ruggerfest, the only all women’s tournament in Washington, DC.

"Fear is the mind killer. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past me I will turn to see fear's path. Where it has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain." - Bene Gesserit Litany
